- Reviewed in the United States on October 16, 2016So far, the machine is working very well, although I had a few issues getting it set up and running. I think the issues were more to do with good old Windows 10 than the machine itself, because when I got those issues taken care of, updates made, it seems to be working great since. This machine offers a LOT of power and features for the price, which is far more reasonable than comparable machines from Dell or HP. So far, highly recommended.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 22, 2016Size: 8GB RAM, 2TB HDDStyle: Intel Core i5Verified PurchaseMaybe this is worth more than 3 stars, but I won't know until I go buy a new monitor, as this one cannot connect with the standard VGA that my not-super-old monitor has. Now I have to go to another store to purchase a new monitor, negating the ease of Amazon delivery and adding to the cost of the situation. Thanks Acer...
REVISED REVIEW: have had this PC less than a year and have taken it in for servicing twice because it won't boot Windows. Today may be trip #3... 😡
- Reviewed in the United States on January 7, 2017It is fast and the graphics are sharp and smooth. It has some bloatware but it is easy to delete. The 16 GB RAM and graphics card are outstanding features and make the game play much better. No complaints so far. Note that the first computer I received actually was missing some RAM. It only had 8GB RAM and I returned it to Amazon and got the current computer. So I would definitely check to make sure that the components are all there.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 10, 2017Good price but defective just like the last 3 items I purchased 'certified refurbished' Will keep it even thought it cost me 60 dollars to ship it to Acer repair in Texas. Got it for about 250 less than regular price and Acer shows that it is warrantied for 2 more months. Also purchase extended warranty due to the other two items I recently purchased ( a modem and router) being defective. They should not have sold any of those items. The modem network connection was completely useless - would not even light up led on computer or known good router. The router wifi worked great but the wan (internet port) was dead a door nail. The PC worked but would randomly restart. The 'Acer' light on the front of PC would go out then back on. The system actually powers down and back up. All bios and windows settings were OK - it actually powers off and on. Windows did not even do a memory dump. Ran memory checker and it showed bad ram at the 14gb area. Pain in the back but expected this and was prepared to send in for repairs due to the low price.

The Acer Aspire AT3-710-UR52 Desktop is based on a h11h4-ad2 motherboard, that either derives itself from ACER or ECS/Elite. That said we only get 1 extra ram slot and and PCIE slot that seemingly operates at x8 speed. As is, the desktop is quite nice. If we don't have much plans for enhancements or upgrades in power we do have a pretty good computing experience.
The case is quite nice. We get a leather like top to the case which I find quite nice (I will attempt to provide product pics). We only get 1 extra ram expansion slot as well as 1 other pcie slot. Aside from that, that's it, we only get 2 sata ports that are utilized up by the hard drive and the optical drive. I will try to upgrade the system to an SSD drive and forego the optical. I will try and see if I can get the main OS on an SSD, the remaining software on the HD and see if I can work an external optical drive.
As previously stated, the motherboard seems to be an h11h4-ad2 motherboard, which seems to come from ECS/Elite. At least we seem to be able to upgrade to 16GB ram by way of 1 extra ram chip, and perhaps a PCIE at x8, not full x16 bandwidth. We get nice wifi performance courtesy of the Wireless AC 7265 module installed at the m.2 slot. The Wireless AC gives us Data Link Protocol: 802.11b, 802.11a, 802.11g, 802.11n, 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0 LE; Data Transfer Rate: 867 Mbps; Frequency Band: 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz. The motherboard/desktop tower is relegated to only hooking up to hdmi, so bad for legacy hardware people but not so much for us more modern hardware folks.
As an internet only or basic computer this is quite nice, anything more demanding and we will find ourselves quite in distress. I'll keep you posted if any how I can upgrade this desktop. I upgraded this review from 4 to 5 based on further testing of the wirless AC module. Pics provided. I will do further testing with the Intel HD 530.
As some others have suggested, a very limited upgrade path/option if any.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 2, 2019Size: 8GB RAM, 2TB HDDStyle: Intel Core i5Verified PurchaseIt's been very reliable. I play a game called Aces High III, which is a WW2 combat flight simulator. I can play the game (just barely) with the onboard graphics, but it's just bad. I added a GTX 1050 2gb ($140) video card, and it plays excellent. I've since fried that card and ordered a GTX 1060. If you plan on adding a card, you only have ONE PCI EXPRESS port, and the long video cards will NOT fit. Buy the Express length card, not the double fan monster. I haven't upgraded the PSU yet, but may have to with the new card. The current PSU is only 300 watts. The hard drive is huge for the price, and seems to work fine. I love that the case is really easy to get inside. I hate the crappy WiFi antennae wired connections. They are tiny-tiny snap-in connectors, and really easy to disconnect on accident. They are a bear to get re-connected. I don't use the DVD drive much, and it's fine. The package comes with a crappy wired keyboard and mouse, but I upgraded them. I also went with a wider monitor. Overall, for the price, it's an excellent value. Not super-customizeable, but plenty good for my use. With the video card upgrade, it's excellent.
