It comes with a nice package, This docking station is made of high-quality material, better than most of the stations in the market, however, it does not has as many USB ports as the other docking station I have, but better quality. It can go up to 5K on a single screen or handle up to three 4K screens over USB Type-C, I am able to connect my laptop to this station and extended it to a 4k monitor. The transformer accessories are high quality as well. My old docking station came with a transformer that made a lot of buzzing noise, this Acer transformer is not just quiet and functioning very well. Overall this is a high-quality docking station, if you don't require many USB ports and have enough budget, this docking station could be a good option.

    Contacted Amazon who then referred me to Acer for support on an issue where multiple times a day my displays flicker black & further to that sometimes the USB keyboard / mouse glitches when data transfers are made via the dock

    Contacted Acer directly after trying many replug reset procedures which did not resolve the issue I have found the dock to be of very low quality @ the price

    I have one of Acers latest Travelmate Spin P4 (11th Gen) units so it is truly disappointing

    Hopeful a firmware update may be released otherwise I'd would advise anyone to strongly stay away from this docking station

    This is a quality piece of hardware. It is designed to act as a laptop docking station, but I am using it as an advanced hub most of the time. I will, of course, use it as a hub when I am using my laptop. It works well for both functions. It has plenty of power, 135 Watts. It seems to be well made. It has three video outputs. Since I have an Nvidia gaming card on this computer I do not need this functionality at this time. However, I can definitely use it for my gaming laptop.

    If I run into problems, I will report it. At this time, it seems to be a quality piece of hardware. Well made and operating as designed. One minor issue, you have to download the manual. I took pictures of all sides. I know for myself, I like to see a picture of any device I may be interested in purchasing. This seems well made and I am happy with this device.

    I don’t know, man. I’m a big fan of Acer. I’ve never quite gotten on board with their laptops but their desktops are great, and I trust their peripherals. When it comes to this docking station, though, I’m just not certain.

    Don’t get me wrong, it’s a really great dock. I’ve tested docks from Wavlink, Plugable, StarTech and Corsair, and while the Corsair was the best designed of them all the Acer Dock III comes extremely close in terms of attractiveness and the ability to squeeze a lot of tech into a small box. I hate bulky docks, but this one is pleasantly sleek and lightweight. It’s just a nice object to have on your desk.

    I also like the range of ports on offer. Personally I’d prefer two HDMI ports rather than two DPs, but that’s neither here nor there. There’s a good range of USB ports available, and the port layout works really well for me when I have it laying flat on the table. Even the power supply seems well designed and fairly compact. Acer have done well here.

    There are just two problems, one very small and one quite large. The first is the base, which is made from the ugliest plastic I’ve ever seen on a quality product. It looks and feels cheap, the sort of plastic that makes an unpleasant noise when you run your fingernails across it, which makes no sense to me as the dock itself is stunning. I’ve no idea why they chose to spoil the looks of the dock with this base. It’s like giving the Mona Lisa a monobrow.

    The bigger problem, though, is the cost. My Corsair TBT100 Thunderbolt 3 dock is the closest competitor to this one I’ve tried, and it comes in at around 80% of the price of the Acer - and even at that price it seemed a little on the spendy side. I like and trust Acer, and I place a lot of value in having confidence in the tech from a trusted brand, but I’m just not sure I could justify this price if I were paying for it with my own money.

    If your budget can stretch to the Dock III then sure, go for it. It’s a great product. Just unscrew the base, lay it down flat and admire the beautiful proportions. If you just want something that offers the same functionality, though, you can get the same ports from the likes of Wavlink or Plugable for significantly less. It’s your call.

    Acer is one of my favorite tech brands. They usually come out with products that become extremely coveted. This hub gives you power and functionality that meets the rigorous standards of tech geeks. The construction and performance live up to my expectations. I can't find anything wrong with it. I highly recommend this docking station/hub.

    Let me start off by saying that I have tested many docks, I also own a few Acer products (all laptops) and have had Acer monitors in the past. In general Acer ususally does a good job with their products and comes with an affordable price too. This dock though just isn't the case here; while the dock itself is fine and works fine (As long as the laptop can do dual monitor output then the HDMI + DP can be used, otherwise just one monitor output port can be used) it also comes in at a price that matches that of a mini desktop PC.
    I have tested docks from many different brand (Pluggable, Wavlink, Startech, Belkin, Dell, Lention, etc) and this is the most expensive one I have tested with this "standard" set of features.

    Overall this dock doesn't get too warm under use and I didn't have a problem with a 1440p monitor out of a few different laptops I have that support video out via USB-C. No real complaints on the ability of the dock outside of the fact that it only has 1 HDMI port... Everything works fine and I don't think it will break easily.

    No complaints here. This gives you every port you need to hook up a macbook to a monitor (or two) along with a mouse, kb, other usb peripherals. Works like a charm and no issues whatsoever. Highly recommend.
