Decided to replace my wife's old, dying Dell laptop that she was constantly complaining about. Christmas is always a tough one trying to sort out what someone needs vs wants. Well, she needed this and wanted a new one, she just never came out and said it directly lol. She was very surprised and happy with this.
It's a very lightweight laptop that's more than capable for day to day use and very mild photo/video processing, although I'd not try to push it. Being a what you get it what you get kind of laptop, you have no real options to upgrade memory and such, and it's just not packing a punch in those areas. For word processing, spreadsheets, web surfing, streaming etc, it's a perfect laptop. Battery life is far better than her Dell was, even with a 2" larger screen, but having an ssd instead of hdd helps, as well as being several years tech newer lol. If you have someone in need of a solid computer, this LG is a great value.
