    Luxury!
    4 out of 5 stars
    Luxury!
Doesn't feel cheap like other keyboards. It is solid, and has some weight and doesn't feel too much cheap plastic. (I don't care if they placed stones inside, the weight just feels right) I've read a review somewhere which says the spacing between the keys is a bit small, I find it the opposite relative to my previous keyboard. Typing is quite enough in a good way. Some others are quite but that's because the keys are soft and their pressing doesn't feel accurate. This was is precisely how I want it to be, typing is rather quite, but key press still feels accurate and not loose. (keyup feedback is also very responsive. I love the the back-lit - Elegant and doesn't look like a Christmas tree. However, during the day when my room is fully lighted, I would have expect the back-lit not to be turned on, this is just a waste of a battery life. I would have expected the back-lit light sensor to be more sensitive (or less) and detect better when there is enough light in the room and there is no need to turn on the led. (Maybe the sensor is fine, and it was just designed to be on where there is enough light, I don't know) I Generally not a fan of wireless keyboards and mice because of the need to replace / charge batteries. I chose this one because of the USB charging option. I'm not fully happy with the battery capacity, I would have expected it to last longer, because of the smart back-lit turns off automatically. Personally for me, it doesn't really matter if I need to re-charge every several weeks or months - Because the USB charging make the task easier. You can also keep the keyboard / mouse connected to USB because the micro USB connection is placed in the right place so you can still use it while charging - But this probably will shorten the life time of the battery. As for the mouse, it is very comfortable. I've always used cheap mice which where smaller and not too ergonomic, this is a big change for me. I love the thumb rest. Accuracy is very good and responsive. I have another wireless Logitech at work and you can actually feel the delay caused by the wireless connection - Not with this mouse. Mouse design if fantastic, I just love the black-grey-silver, also very elegant and feels expensive (Well, it is expensive) There is a little problem with the middle button click. Sometimes when I click it, it doesn't really being pressed well. It seems the middle scroll button have some places which are easier to click, I guess it something I need to get used to. I'm not sure how to explain this, but if you place your entire finger to click it then feels a bit stuck (You don't here the familiar clicking sound you expect to hear). But if you click with the tip of your finger on the middle button, it is being pressed fine. I don't think this is a defect with the mouse I've received, I heard on another youtube review about this "problem". I'm not too worried about this. What actually happens is when you're using your entire finger, you sometimes move the scroll a bit left / right before clicking it (Because the middle button has also horizontal scrolling), and it doesn't seem the button is clickable when it is tilted to the sides. But when you click with your top of your finger you usually click straighter and it clicks fine. I'm guessing I'll get used to it and middle clicks will happen more naturally the more I'll use it. When I opened the package, one of the keyboard keys were out of its place, I was a bit nervous about this because I thought the the quality is poor and the key is broken. (See attached photo) Happily the key was not broken and I just placed it right back. Quality seems good, I haven't faced any keys popping out and it seems there are all sitting well in their place. I'm not exactly sure how it happened, because the packaging was good enough, maybe the key came out during the packaging. So, why 4 stars and not 5? 1. Expensive. (I think it is expensive even though I bought it on black Friday deals) 2. Even though it is not a bother to me because of the USB recharging option, I would have expected the battery to last longer for a keyboard & mouse in that price range. This might be more critical for other users. I'm a bit paranoid and I prefer turning off the keyboard and mouse while they are not in use.

AWESOME keyboard and mouse! (Any type-o's in this review are due to my fat fingers and not the keyboard ;)

Probably unlike most reading this review, I have this combo running on a Linux (Centos 6.6) machine (which I believe has a Tyan motherboard, fwiw). I was a little concerned having read some of the other reviews. Not that it wouldn't work eventually, but that I would have to hunt down a script or scripts in order to get it to work smoothly. In particular, it looked like people were able to get the first device working but getting the Unifying Receiver to find the second device (the mouse) was not working out of the box.

This was not the case at all with me. Half thinking it wasn't going to work, I shut down my machine, plugged the Unifying Receiver and restarted. It worked! Period. Both devices were identified and functional. The speaker volume was controlled by the volume keys. The F8 key put my system into sleep mode (hibernate) which is exactly what I want it to do while I'm asleep or at work. I probably don't use all of the features of the mouse but the left, right, forward, and back buttons work. I haven't found anything yet that uses the "application" button. I'm not actually sure what it is supposed to do. Is it supposed to let me switch between apps like the F4 key? It doesn't appear to do that. Then again I haven't totally figured out the F4 key's use either. That appears to let me switch between the app I'm using and I guess the previous one that had focus? Meh.

I should be able to zoom by just using the mouse and a mouse button combination but that is not working for me out of the box. Instead, I zoom in and out using the scroll wheel while holding down the control key. I'm guessing I could load some software to get the zoom working with just the mouse but I just don't have a problem using the CTL key. The panning by scroll wheel also worked as expected though.

I was already using a wireless keyboard/mouse combination (Microsoft) and it took all of 10 seconds to realize the Logitech hardware was light years ahead of that cheap feeling thing. It feels more solid. The keyboard is ultra smooth, ultra quiet, and just makes typing a breeze. I wanted an illuminated keyboard because I tend to use it at night and don't like a lot of ambient light in the room. Even if the Microsoft keyboard were backlit (whch it was not) the text on the Function keys was far too small. This keyboard has larger, backlit text and is great. I keep the keyboard on the desk, the wireless aspect is mainly important to me for the mouse but it's still welcome for the keyboard. If I wanted a wireless keyboard for using on my lap I would think one with a mouse pad might be more tempting than removing my hand to grab a mouse on the desktop.

It's not a cheap combo but you get what you pay for in this case. The fact that it just plain works out of the box with Linux is fantastic. Hopefully it will last!

This keyboard/mouse set is incredible. Great keyboard feel, quiet (I've been told I'm a loud typer!), helpful illumination, mouse is good too! But I'm writing this review because apparently I've had this set for over 7 years now and it still works great. This morning, I set the keyboard down haphazardly on a ledge, which I proceeded to knock it off, and the keyboard fell 6 feet onto the top of a wooden staircase, toppled down an entire flight of stairs (do I need to say wooden again?), whirling and bouncing off of walls, shedding dismembered buttons like a tornado discards RVs, and SMASHED against the wall at the bottom of the stairs. After gathering what I think is all of the pieces and googling QWERTY to make sure I put the letters back in the right spot... IT STILL WORKS. Just as smooth and quiet and responsive as it always has. 🤯 I have very few electronics in my house that are over 7 years old. The ones that are all say Logitech on them.

I've used the mouse for several years now, and it has been perfect. I got the combo and retired the old (but same) mouse. The new mouse was essentially the same, although it is really nice to get the new "feet" on the mouse that slide really well.

The keyboard was a surprise. I really love it. I replaced an older Logitech Wave 2.4 keyboard.

The new keyboard has a very "laptop" feel to it, but I was surprisingly happy with it. It's not nearly as "clicky" as a full-sized keyboard, but after only a few days I've grown to like it even more than my old one.

The battery life on the keyboard has been unbelievable so far. The mouse battery life seems better than my old mouse (again, same mouse, so any improvement is probably just from the newer battery if there is actually any improvement. Absolutely no complaints either way).

The backlit keys are also surprisingly helpful on occasion. I normally don't use it in the dark, nor do I need to really look at the keys. BUT, once you have it, it's really hard to do without it.

Also, this keyboard is surprisingly heavy and SOLID. Not so heavy that it's a turn-off, but it really feels like a solid piece of machinery. Yeah, it's mostly plastic, but not cheap plastic. It's just really nice for what it is. You'll just have to feel it to appreciate it. It's kind of like an Apple IPad. It's very dense and fitted. I don't think you will be disappointed.

The best peripheral device I had purchased for my rig so far. Really compliments my Alienware 17 R4 in its build quality, size and back lighting. The keyboard performs really well. Typing is very comfortable. The contours and key design are well thought out with decent tactile feel. Mouse is awesome. Fits my large palm and there is literally no lag esp after the software installation. I am a programmer more than a gamer and that's why I went with this rather than a gaming keyboard as I dont want to extensively punch into my laptop's keyboard. The best decision I made in a while. This device are made durable and can take all the strokes I am gonna give it! Love it!
