Fantastic picture quality
I have had the TV for several weeks and I am still amazed at the picture quality. I replaced a several-year-old Vizio HD TV. My son kept saying, "You need to buy a 4K TV." I asked, "Why? I'm perfectly happy with this picture." I didn't know what I was missing. Electric malfunction
Set up the new TCL 55R625. Picture was excellent, quality seemed good. After viewing the TV undistracted for 1 minute, screen flashed blank, then returned. This became cyclic every 30-60 seconds. Called TCL, who went through all of the reboot protocol to no avail. Set Malfunctioning. Had to return, and lost faith in TCL electronics. Watched so many reviews on this set, and no mention of this issue. I was surprised that all reviews also never mentioned how high the set sits off the stand. I have a TCL 5 series 2018, which sits significantly lower. Just to mention my TCL 5 series internal speakers quit 2 days before the 2019 arrived. 2 TCL TV SETS Malfunctioning. I read all the reviews prior to ordering this TV. All of the reviewers said this was the absolute best TV you could purchase under $1000. They were not lying. WOW! This Roku TV has blown me away. I've never had Roku before and the interface is fabulous and I'm in love. This TV has 5G WiFi which gives you ultimate streaming abilities if you have a 5G router, which I have. The picture quality is the best I have seen in this price range. I highly recommend this model, the 55R617. Incredible Value
This is the best 55” QLED TV you will find for anywhere near this price. It has very deep blacks, and vibrant, beautiful colors, especially after tweaking the settings a bit. Video games look unbelievable. I’ve never had so much fun getting slaughtered in COD. It legitimately improves your viewing/gaming experience just by how gorgeously this set it. There are plenty of resources online to guide you through changing the settings to your liking. The Roku integration is flawless in my opinion, as well as TCL’s menu. It is simple yet very effective, and allows you to customize as much or as little as you’d like. The sound is actually pretty decent. It rivals my old LG soundbar, which surprised me a lot. Much better sound than I expected. This is just an overall incredible TV at an impressive price. QLED technology truly makes a world of difference. I would buy again in a heartbeat. Web browser needed for being a smart tv.

It was rated by CNET as the best in their class. It has a excelent picture and good sound. The product has all the 2020 standards and should not become oblsolete for 15 years or longer.
