For most people under 6' it should work fine.
I am 65 years old, 6'1", 230 lbs. and in need of some strength training. I found the lowest price and ordered this item. It arrived in two boxes via FedEX. All of the parts were present and there was no damage to the packaging. Over a few days I assembled it by myself. The instruction booklet was easy to follow. I made a few mistakes during assembly but it was simple to take it apart and start again. I think this machine is a bit small for someone of my size but not unusable. I did not want to spend over $350 and this fit my budget. If I was going to start over I'd go for a bigger, more expensive machine but it's hard to tell from the product description how big everything is. If you are over 5'11" I'd go for a bigger version of this.

I have had this for about 2 weeks now and am really loving it. The price is right if not downright cheap for the versatility of the machine. Assembly was not as bad as I was expecting (took about 6 hours over 2 evenings). I used to go to the gym at my office when I had time and have been not exercising at all while working from home. I set this up in my home office, pick 4 exercises a day, and because it's right here next to me I can easily just go through a set every hour or so. I can even work out while I'm in meetings! As a result I'm exercising much more consistently than I ever did when I had to find a whole hour and include time for showering and changing. It's not the fanciest and for certain exercises you might max out the weight stack pretty quickly but for the price and the amount of use it's getting I couldn't be happier.

This home gym is just what I needed as Gold's Gym took their operation outdoors with a limited equipment and unworkable business hours for me. I have to say that the quality is pretty good with some areas of improvement, like the leg curl/extension. I put this machine together in one day and it arrived with two missing weigh plates and a part bent. I contacted the seller and they sent the missing parts within a week. I fixed the bent part with a pair of pliers and I'm enjoying my daily workouts. I'll purchase additional equipment, a bench and dumbells to supplement my workouts, but the machine is pretty good for basic exercises. All in all, pretty good machine for the price as others run in the thousands (comercial grade). It beats having to wait for a sweaty machine at the gym, or being rushed. Good buy overall! I'll update this review as time of use will increase.

Its not comfortable. Its all packed in one for a cheap price so you will be tempted to buy. But its not smooth when you do the chest and shoulders. It takes a minimum for 4-5hrs in my case 8 hours to install. If you want to take a chance go ahead but I don't recommend it.

So I would give this a 5 star but want to give it a 4.5 for the time it took to built it. I would say if it’s one person it’s going to take all day but I would recommend 2-3 people and you should take 3-4 hours maybe more and get a drill to screw in everything faster. Plus just YouTube a video on how to assemble the product. It’s an hour video but who’s what screw and what you need. I would not recommend if you are over 6ft but can be usable, in on the bigger side and it’s fine and gets the job done but overall don’t know why this product has got some negative reviews, I would give this product a 4.5 and didn’t want to put a 4 so I gave it a 5 only reason would be that’s the product took a lot of time to built but seems a good investment essentially if you are building a home gym

The biggest two pros for this piece of equiptment are the price and that it fits into a space without taking up too much room. Like many, we stopped going to the gym during the pandemic and began to create a mini home workout area in the garage. It doesn't take up a lot of space, but gives you the same exercises you can do in the gym on a similar piece of a equiptment. If you are a bigger guy (6'0-6'2-ish or larger) it's going to feel smaller and tighter than what you are used to in the gym, but it's still useable for a good workout. The major con is that all these similar Weider 2980s on amazon seem to be owned an operated by either the same company or parent company. Like others in the reviews on all the different listings, our box was missing a part. At first they said, "it would come in a 2nd box." But we'd already received both boxes. So, after a bunch of back and forth, they agreed to refund us $20 for the missing piece, which was NOT enough to cover the cost of replacing the part. We were missing one of the weights. You are able, as of Feb, 2021, to find extra weights at Sears. But the weight cost $50. On the plus side, it looks as if you can add extra weights to the machine, if 214lbs becomes too light. (Don't quote me on that because we haven't actually attempted it yet.) Anyways, I would factor in an additional $30 or so for missing parts because we don't seem to be the only ones who experieced this. So, if another machine is $30-$50 more and you don't want to deal with the hastle, probably just spend the extra money. Otherwise, you can try your luck with this one knowing that you can always buy the replacement parts if something is missing.
