Good Item, Bad Retailer.
I have ordered from NewEgg several times in the past. My experiences used to be acceptable. However this time, my Xbox one S arrived with a defective fan unit. The company will accept no reutrns, even if defective. It sounds like the bearings are worn out. The LB button on the controller also was jammed in as I unpacked it from the box. Not sure if these are refurbs mislabeled as New, or it was just a bad batch of older models that has been sold in an effort to make room for newer models. Great system for a great price....wish the UI wasn't so bad
Loving the Xbox One S. Got it on ebay for $170. Playing COD WWII with friends is amazing. Everything works as expected. Can't complain too much since the price is ridiculously low but I do wish the menus and overall UI wasn't so bad. The consoles are more compact, quieter and just have an overall sleekness to them that makes it visually pleasing to the eyes. The controller has a nice textured grip on the the back and seems a bit more comfortable all around. The console also supports being set vertically which Microsoft did not design in the original Xbox one... which is bizarre given that the Xbox 360 models were designed to sit both vertical and horizontal. Got this on sale for about $160. Definitely worth it for that. Great system, but in my opinion, PS4 still has a better UI and much faster update speeds (which I blame on Microsoft). I am not going to say there is any kind of problem with the game system as a whole since this is not an issue. However, I was unable to register for and receive a Microsoft Live account which is required to use this system until I registered for and got a Microsoft email address. Several days passed where I could not access and play this system because they would not send an email to my non-Microsoft email address.
